Carried by the winds that lead strangers into new worlds, the hybrid VR piece TRAVELING WITH THE WINDS tells the story of Bartholomäus Ziegenbalg, the first German missionary in India, and Peter Malayappan, the first Indian to visit Germany. The audience journeys between Tharangambadi, a former Danish colony in South India, and Halle in Saxony-Anhalt, guided by Asiri vakku (Tamil for 'divine voice'), a digital tour guide and intelligent assistant.
